RoadOrigin terms of use. These terms describe the permitted use and limits of the service.
Informational service
RoadOrigin provides vehicle information from government and licensed third-party sources. It does not inspect vehicles, issue titles, perform repairs, guarantee seller statements, or warrant that every event has been reported.
No “clean vehicle” guarantee
No records found is not proof that a vehicle is accident-free, theft-free, lien-free, mechanically sound or safe. Buyers should independently inspect the vehicle and its documents.
Recall scope
Model-level campaign matches do not establish whether a recall applies to an exact VIN or whether a remedy remains open. Confirm exact status with NHTSA or the manufacturer.
Consumer use
Purchased reports are for the buyer’s personal vehicle-research use. Automated collection, redistribution, republication and resale are prohibited.
Prohibited conduct
Users may not scrape the service, evade limits, resell data, submit VINs unlawfully, probe security controls or misrepresent RoadOrigin reports.
